Yes. Outdoor activities are super fun, but are not safe or enjoyable in bad weather conditions (extreme wind, rain or snow). Rescheduling or refund options will be available. We verify weather conditions a week prior, but we will also determine if weather conditions will affect the class happening the morning of. We will make every effort possible for your trip to happen. Safety is our #1 priority, and you having a wonderful experience goes hand in hand.

No. First timers are always welcome. Our classes/adventures are scheduled and customized to be a fun and informational first time experiences for beginners. Some intermediate/advance classes do require some prior rock climbing experience, check class detailed descriptions or contact us for more details.
Bring comfortable clothing. Anything you would use to go walking or hiking should work as well for rock climbing activities. Do not bring open toe shoes, or sandals.
Rock climbing is mostly dependent of lower body strength and balance. You don’t need to be super fit, but you do need to be able to move your legs and arms. This comes hand in hand with physical restrictions. You will not be able to attend and benefit from this class if you are currently experiencing physical restriction, surgery, pregnancy, injuries, illness or any other type of medical conditions that may restrict or limit your ability to move or carry your own weight during our hikes and on the rock walls.
All equipment rentals needed are included in the price. Bringing your own equipment is entirely optional. If you have climbing equipment of your own, feel free to bring it. We do need to inspect all equipment brought by our clients, before using, to ensure it is in good condition and adequate for the activity.
We often get this questions, so here it goes; beginner rock climbing classes and half-day climbing adventures are 4 hours each.
The beginner class is structured for learning how to tie into a rope, how to belay a partner, and climbing technique.
The half-day adventures are the better choice for those who prefer to just climb without having the teachings included. Climbing adventures are often booked by first-timers and avid-climbers; first timers get to experience the sport and have fun (similar to skydiving, jump without the commitment of having to learn the technical) and avid climbers get to climb lots without having to worry about bringing gear out, route finding, or even having a belayer - since we do all the work to ensure both have a great experience regardless of experience.
The full-day climbing adventures are a better choice for avid climbing enthusiast who are regulars, have the stamina to get out there and climb all day, and those in great shape. Of course you can take breaks, we wont't torture you through the day - plus full-day adventures include a picnic lunch, yummy snacks and water you can munch on through the day to keep your energy levels high.
Depending on your level and experience we will pick routes on a scale that will help maximize your day.
We are busy bees, but we want to ensure you come prepared. Please contact us for additional questions and/or concerns you may have. Please send us your questions early enough to allow time for a response. The night before your class or morning of, would not be ideal. Turn around time for any reservation or additional questions is 24-48 hours.
