Why are there designated areas to climb?

Some of you may wonder what and why do people go to specific areas designated or frequently visited by climbers. As a beginner, it is important to have sufficient information on routes to remain climbing safely in ratings that fall within your skill level. Most of the pre-established routes are made public for several reasons. One of them is so that other climbers can visit them, climb them, and keep them clean. The less an area is visited, the dirtier it will get over time. In summary, traffic on a route, keeps it cleaner.
