<p>Have you ever tried crossing a high area via the famous <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrolean_traverse" target="_blank">tyrolean traverse</a>? This is used in a range of mountaineering activities: <a title="Rock climbing" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_climbing">rock climbing</a>, technical <a title="Tree climbing" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_climbing">tree climbing</a>, <a title="Caving" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caving">caving</a>, water crossings and <a class="mw-redirect" title="Mountain Rescue" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Rescue">Mountain Rescue</a>. In this photo we see Jo Ann cruising the tyrolean traverse with ease.
